Feeding guide

Feed in the region of 110-125g/day per bird. Hen sized flint grit is recommended for birds with access to plant material ̶ typically provide 5-10g/bird per week.

My Chickens love layers mash, fed damp on its own it lasts my birds ages and gives loverly golden egg yolks.

If i want to spice things up I throw some extras into the mix, including mixed corn, bread, mealworms and scraps this makes feeding time more interesting, a challenge for them, keeps it fair as every chicken has a chance at finding something interesting, in their daly food and most of all it means that its not always the fastest or highest ranking bird that gets the mealworm.

Price- well everyone is always looking to save and with the layers it's more padding that whole diet but then you could say my birds are spoilt.
